Has anyone here have successfully use Elmarit 35mm 2.8 on 5D body? and which route did you take, adapter or lens mount swap?

I would love to hear your experience with this lens. I was not successful at using Pentax screw mount Takumar 35mm on the 5D (mirror hitting issue Wall

), so I am on the search for another good 35mm prime.
