I will be posting an indepth review of both adapters, but for now just a really quick over look.
I bought an adapter from SLRDaren with an AF adapter. It had kerchiefs (metal springs) instead of the slits which I thought would eliminate wiggle, unfortunately it didn't. The AF confirm chip was really helpful though. It even enables E-TTL.
As my R lens collection grew I wanted a better adapter so I invested in a Novoflex. And all the things they say about them is true. They are incredibly well machined and they do use Leica parts. The kerchiefs look exactly like the ones used in my 6.2 and Leicaflex SL. The mounting ring looks exactly like the cameras as well. It is a perfect fit, there is no wiggle what so ever. The only problem is that there is no chip to trick the camera to get it use E-ttl or give focus confirm, so exposures are a bit off (the SLrdaren exposures where more accurate). I recently bought a chip (the optix v5, hasn't come in yet) and will attach it to the adapter. My only issue with the novoflex is that it seems to tight when attached to the 5d. I fear that it may wear out the 5d mount, but maybe I'm being too paranoid.
I will attach pictures and more info in a couple of days.
(these are all the lenses that I have the work on the 5d with both adapters, Leica 28 elmarit S7 (3cam), 35 elmarit (e55, 3cam), 50 summilux (e55, 3cam), 60 elmarit (e55, 3cam), 90 elmarit (e55, 3cam).)
