I picked up this lens several weeks ago and have had only one chance to try it out before all the leaves were gone. Winter has set in and has put a hold on the outdoor shooting for awhile.
I have found the lens to be pleasingly sharp wide open and at a stop down it is quite sharp. And in case you haven't looked on Ebay lately, they are going for bargain prices with most in the $300 range. At prices that cheap, just about anybody can afford it. And it is a nice lens on top of that too.
I'll do a more thorough write-up later. For now there are some sample pictures on the 645 Blog.

These pix were taken this past February at DFW Airport. While people were still complaining the Canon 1D3 auto focus, here was the ZD taking pictures in continuous focus mode. Granted, it was a big easy target, but to be honest, I was surprised the AF could track the planes -

The light fall-off was added in Photoshop for effect.

This image had a nice 3D feel to it. Used Mamiya 150mm F3.5 AF's sell on Ebay for ~$275 these days. At that price point it's impossible to say anything bad about the lens. It's actually a pretty good lens despite the cheap price.

And one last one from Mexico. I didn't use the 150mm F3.5 a whole bunch in Mexico. The Mamiya 200mm F2.8 APO (for the Mamiya 645M) was doing a great job, so I used that lens quite often. The full Mexico gallery is available here - http://www.pebbleplace.com/Personal/Pictures.html. From there selection "Vacation Pictures" and then "Mexico".
